Among the many fine items on display here are:

  • The Shield of Achilles - Silver gilt targe, designed by John Flaxman c.1820.
  • A cork model of Horse Guards at Whitehall, built to William Kent's designs of 1750-1758.
  • A display of silver cigarette and snuffboxes.
  • A Louis XV style basket chandelier decorated with Meissen porcelain flowers.
  • The Trafalgar Vases

The central display cabinets house an exhibition of 'racing silver'. Horse racing cups and trophies serve to highlight the strong links that Anglesey Abbey has with the 'turf!'
