The dell, to the north of the South Glade, is a part of the old fishpond system created by the monks to provide a reliable source of food throughout the year.

Snowdrops in The Dell

It now contains a collection of Snowdrops that have been found in the Abbey grounds over the years, along with several species and varieties of Philadelphus (Mock Orange) for summer colour. During the Snowdrop season this area is visited by thousands of people eager to see the variety of plants offered to them.

The Narcissus Garden
